So, after they swept the NL’s best team in the first round, the Phillies dominate the Dodgers in the NLCS. The Phillies are obviously deserving pennant winners, but it goes to show that the playoffs depend so much on luck.
It’s weird how somehow I’m sort of surprised that the Phillies in the World Series, even though they’ve won the last two NL East division championships and have the last two NL MVPs. I’ll be rooting for them if the Red Sox don’t somehow pull off another ALCS miracle.
Oh, and Cole Hamels is a freaking stud. He and Santana have the best left-handed changeups in the world, and it isn’t really even close. I can’t wait to see how he fares against a powerful AL offense.
